With the holiday season right around the corner, it’s so easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of the holiday and forget to give thanks for all the greatest gifts each of us have been blessed with. So many people are focusing on the Christmas holiday as well, that it’s like a seven-forty-seven flying over their head when it comes to celebrating Thanksgiving. Some people have their Christmas tree up and have the lights already burning! Business stores want Christmas shoppers plunging into their store so, they have their doors open on Thanksgiving Day to get their sales up. When are we going to learn to focus our attention on Thanksgiving? We need to pause and think about all the blessings we have within our surroundings. This year, before we reach for the bread and butter, mashed potatoes, or gravy ladle, may we pause for a few words of thanks for all we’re blessed with. If we didn’t celebrate Thanksgiving Day, most of us would continue within our busy mode, and wouldn’t realize the impact of all we should be thankful for. We should also be grateful and thankful for the promise of more blessings to come.
